- “Point of no return” beyond this stage
- Urinary albumin excretion=30-300 mg/day=30-300 mg/g creatinine
- ≥ 2/3 (+) within 3~6 months
- Predicts CKD, CV disease and mortality
- False-positive
- Exercise, infection, fever, CHF, marked hyperglycemia, marked hypertension
- Treatment
- ACEI or ARB
- Strict euglycemia
- Keep BP<130/80 mmHg
